Government owend petroleum refinery. Currently running 3 refineries with a capacity of 925k barrels/day. A new refinery project is underway. EPC bids closing date in aug 06. It is a 6 billion $ project. Expansion of existing refineries is approved 4 billion $ project. One of the refieries was selected as best refinery in the middle east for year 2005. Selection was made by peers.
