Kuwait Catalyst Company is a Kuwaiti Shareholding (closed) Company, formed in 13th November, 1996 by a group of prominent local and international investors with an objective of providing complete catalytic solutions to the regional refining industry and to satisfy the requirement of catalyst used in the crude oil refining process. KCC’s new generation catalyst plant at Shuaiba Industrial area, was originally built on the ‘HOP’ Technology, provided by Japan Energy Corporation, Japan (JEC), presently known as Jx Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation. JEC exited catalyst business and Advanced Refining Technologies USA (ART) procured the world-wide ‘HOP’ technology rights from JEC in the year 2005. Now, KCC is fully associated with ART.
